Entrepreneurship Is a Journey of Self-Development – An Interview with Mgr. Eva Rosůlková
An interview with Mgr. Eva Rosůlková, a guide for women, personal development consultant, mentor to aspiring female entrepreneurs, and founder of the project Radostná cesta Ženy.
Eva, among other things, you support mothers who are just starting out in business. What drew you to this particular topic?
I started my own business as a mother. Since I had absolutely no experience with it, I had very little support, inner courage, or determination, and I struggled for a long time with many things, it was quite challenging for me. I know that many other women are in a similar situation, which is why I want to support them and make this process easier for them. Moreover, essential information about how and where to start is still not readily available, not only from a business perspective, but also with regard to the internal processes involved.
Entrepreneurship is also a fairly profound journey of self-development, during which we may encounter various limitations and blocks that can reach all the way back to childhood. What I enjoy about this process is bringing all my knowledge together and guiding women along a comprehensive and effective path from the outset.
I feel that, over time, more and more mothers who are at home with their children come to the conclusion that they no longer want to return to their original jobs. They start businesses and change their focus, often moving into fields completely unrelated to their original profession. How do you explain this?
When a woman suddenly spends much more time at home (even though she has a baby and plenty of other responsibilities), she gets in touch more deeply with her essence. Pregnancy and childbirth alone are enormous transformations that change not only our bodies and way of thinking, but also our overall view of the world and life. Our priorities change, we perceive time differently, and we long for greater efficiency, freedom, and genuine fulfillment.
For many women, motherhood therefore awakens a strong desire for self-realization. Either being „just a mother“ does not fulfill them as they may have expected, or they gain more inner courage and determination, want to be a role model for their child, or finally allow themselves to live more freely and do what truly nourishes them.
Do you see any benefits in this? Whether for the mothers themselves or for society as a whole?
Definitely. It is wonderful to watch women become more independent, shine more brightly, be authentic, and create from a place of passion and enthusiasm. Many wonderful projects are also emerging, some of which support women and children, along with a wealth of original products and creations. Social perceptions are gradually changing as well, including ideas about what is and is not possible and the fact that we can live more freely.
What risks and challenges does this bring? What should women be careful about in this regard?
I definitely do not recommend rushing into entrepreneurship without careful consideration. It is important to think everything through and have a reasonably clear vision. Sometimes mothers rely solely on reason and start a business based on something they know how to do, for which they have qualifications or experience, only to discover that it does not satisfy them all that much. Building a profitable business does require some effort, after all, and the real driving force is genuine inner joy and desire.
I also strongly advise women who do not have sufficient financial resources not to buy a lot of expensive courses, but rather to find a good mentor and take smaller yet effective steps. Many women become incredibly overwhelmed precisely at this stage and spread their attention across too many directions, which means results do not come. It is therefore certainly a good idea for a woman to clarify her strategy, avoid wasting energy and time, and ensure that what she is doing makes clear sense from the very beginning.
For women with young children, it is often very difficult to balance family life, work, or entrepreneurship, and sometimes a woman loses herself in the midst of it all. Do you have any advice on how to keep this in check and manage everything?
I would say again that it is about having an overall vision and concept. If we know from the beginning how much time we want to (and can realistically) devote to entrepreneurship and other activities, we can be effective and maintain our boundaries. This is also the key to ensuring that we do not lose ourselves. It is certainly important to plan time for ourselves as well, so that we are not constantly giving out our energy without replenishing it.
Do you think absolutely anyone can become an entrepreneur?
The opportunity is certainly there for anyone who wants to have their own project and create something that employment does not allow. However, it is necessary to have a genuine vision, a clear sense of purpose, well-ordered priorities, a willingness to take responsibility, courage, determination, and basic knowledge of how to build a business, ideally along with support. All of this naturally grows with practice and experience.
As part of your work, you also focus on self-love and self-acceptance. How closely is this topic connected to entrepreneurship?
More closely than might seem at first glance. Many women are held back from getting their businesses off the ground by the feeling that they are not good enough. They do not believe in themselves and keep acquiring more knowledge, but never put it into practice or make sales. Or they do not love themselves enough, do not like how they look in photos or videos, and are not in love with their products and services. Customers sense that, too, because what sells most is our energy and the way we radiate it. Last but not least, this also affects pricing: when we feel we do not deserve much, we set our prices unnecessarily low and cannot make a living from our work.
You talk a lot about purpose in your programs. What does purpose mean to you?
I see purpose as a profound journey of self-discovery: discovering our gifts, talents, and unique potential, which each of us carries within, as well as our shadows. It is our own unique essence. That is why, even when several women do the same work, each one does it a little differently. She brings herself into it and also “attracts” different clients.
People often talk about finding their purpose. How do you find such a purpose? And what if we cannot seem to find it?
As I mentioned, it is a longer process of getting to know ourselves. The problem is that we look for it only through the rational methods taught everywhere. But our minds are very limited and constrained by beliefs about ourselves that we formed in childhood. There are various blocks, limitations, and many layers that conceal our true essence. That is why we need to look deeper: to connect with our soul, heart, and entire body, and understand how our cycles and energy work. I searched for my purpose very intensively for over 20 years, and based on the responses of the clients I have guided through this topic, I know that I have managed to find a truly effective way not only to discover it, but also to begin living it.
It is essentially a collection of dozens of different techniques and exercises that take us to entirely new levels of perception and thinking, release our blocks, and gradually return us to our essence. We work with the rational mind, the body, the conscious and subconscious mind, energy, various experiential visualizations, the inner child, and other archetypes and elements of nature.
In the program into which I have incorporated this journey, my daily support, answering questions, and feedback from the entire group are an enormous additional benefit. When women truly relax in a safe transformational field, miracles literally happen, and as a by-product, their natural self-confidence, courage, determination, self-love, and self-worth also grow.
In reality, our purpose is already within us; it is who we are. We simply usually cannot see it for ourselves. In the program, the women also respond to one another, which is another enormous benefit, and I recommend making use of this elsewhere too. We already have some idea of who we are, a particular form into which we have fitted ourselves, and as a result it is difficult for us to see something different, something new and other. People who get to know us through this process can see it much more easily.
How can we tell that we are living our purpose?
By feeling truly fulfilled. We have a reason to get up in the morning and a desire to create. We smile more, do not experience inner conflict, and are simply authentic, honest, and literally radiant.
Does purpose relate only to our work and business, or can we find it elsewhere as well?
We can perceive it everywhere: in the environment we live in, in who and what we surround ourselves with, in our hobbies, in the way we speak, in our relationships…
And what plans do you have for the future? Can you invite us to anything?
With great pleasure! I invite women to the Radostná cesta Ženy group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/radostnacestazeny ), where they can currently find inspiration on the topic of getting to know themselves and their purpose. Later, we will move on to the self-love and relationships mentioned above. On January 29, the experiential Radostná cesta Poslání program begins, in which they can not only discover their purpose, but truly open themselves to it and begin living it. For the full 9 weeks, in addition to all the content and bonuses, I will be available to them every day in a private group, where they will find plenty of experiential visualizations, further tips, sharing, feedback, and, especially this year, the opportunity to take advantage of free mentoring and immediately develop their own project or product. Details can be found here https://www.radostnacestazeny.cz/kurzy/radostna-cesta-poslani/ .
Eva, thank you so much for the interview!
